This policy aims to inform you how we, GTE company, as the data controller, use and protect your personal data, as well as the reasons why we process your data.

1. What personal data do we collect?

The personal data entrusted to us include your name, surname, address, phone number, and email address.
We ensure that the personal data we collect is limited to what is strictly necessary for managing our clients, prospects, or suppliers, and for fulfilling our legal obligations.
We handle your data with the utmost care and respect.
We do not store any customer payment information.

We collect personal data either directly from you — through paper forms, telephone, or online — or they are provided to us by a third party to whom you have given your consent.

3. What are the legal grounds for using your personal data?

We need to process your data to handle your information requests and to manage the execution of a sales or service contract.
We may also use your personal data to comply with legal obligations.

To achieve the purposes mentioned above, we may disclose certain personal data to the following types of recipients:

  • Carriers, in the case of product orders;

The personal data we keep are stored on our computers, mobile phones (in some cases), and our web host in France.

A backup is stored with Dropbox. All files stored online by Dropbox are encrypted and kept on multiple secure servers located in the United States, which the European Union considers an “adequate” country regarding data security.
Dropbox complies with the Privacy Shield framework developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce in cooperation with the European Commission.

6. How long do we keep your personal data?

We retain your personal data for the duration of our relationship plus 5 years, unless a longer legal or regulatory obligation applies.

7. Exercising your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and transfer your personal data that we hold.
You can exercise these rights directly with GTE by making a simple request via phone, email, contact form, or mail, and by including a double-sided copy of an identity document.

In accordance with applicable regulations, you also have the right to file a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority).
